Was playing around with the Fairmont again today and came to the same problem when finished. Put the engine cover back on, or leave it off?


Here is the cover on, nice and clean looking, but where is the motor?




Here is the cover off, bloody messy looking, kinda tough looking, and you can see a V8 in there!!

I'm undecided, what's everyone's opinions?

i'd go with the paint idea, if you can get another from a wrecker you could experiment with colours or even coatings: chrome, caronfibre alloy finish etc but incase it turned rice i'd keep the original so you can always go back

Im differant guys. Id leave it off and buy the 5ltr plate and bolt it on the manifold. Can get em for $20 at spares shops. Heres what mine used to look like

Mine won't fit anymore..I kept cutting it so it fits but there's hardly anything left .
So instead of skirt I guess it has thong now ...haha Lol..
