Re: Crank girdle
The girdle will help the botom end hold together if block splits. Some argue that they can actually cause the bottom end to move around due to different expansion rates of the girdle & block..
But most good high performance engines have them these days, I guess it comes down to r/r..
They generally all fit in there depends on individual brands...windage and crank scraper...
