Re: difference between 302 and 351?

9.2"-9.5" deck height for the Cleveland and Windsor 351 blocks respectively vs 8.2" for the 302 windsor.
3.5" stroke vs 3".

Numerous other detail differences depending on whether its factory type 351C or W or aftermarket.

Re: difference between 302 and 351?

The 302 windsor is phisically smaller and narrower than the 351 windsor, unlike the 302 cleveland and the 351 cleveland which look exactly the same and have the same 4 inch bore. Basically the 302 windsor is the little fella of these mentioned.

On a Cleveland yes they share the same block...As long as you fit correct rods and pistons...
302 and 351 Windsor ..No the 351 has higher deck height..
However the 302 can be strocked out to 347ci with 340 Crank and assembly..Similar to what Ford / Tickford did in the TE50's....

Don't be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark...Professionals built the Titanic!
