i have the old points style dizzy in my 302 w 1978 model does a new model electronic one fit and what else has to be done to make it work
or what fits

yeah a late modle dizzy fits but ay need to wire the ignitoin module up and ya might have clearence probs coz the cap is so bloody big(and expensive)i bought a electronic conversion from sydney speed supplies for $200 that bolts into the points dizzy you remove the points and bolt it in place plug it into the coil and away ya go........it uses all the same stock leads,cap,button and coil etc

If your talking about the efi dizzys they will fit but they wont work, they have no mech/vac advance as the efi computer does this.

Try a Pertronix Ignitor or a Crane XR-i.

nononono, DON'T buy any Sydney Speed Supplies ignition equipment.
Those procomp dizzys are not to be trusted. They are dodgy as.

Order the Crane XR-i from summitracing, will cost you $150 Aussie landed with express UPS. Thats the best way to go.

na it aint poocomp i dont like it either...its something made in house by one of the guys....magnetic pickup and a built in revlimiter that bolts in in place of your points into the original dizzy housing it retains your stock vac advance etc... cheap relyable sparks
