Any one got an idea on this or the best way of measuring as i want to get rid of the factory top and make one so it will fit my Car without me having to cut the drivers side tower Brace any idea on how short i can go before losing to much bottom end torque .
I reckon i can fit a 150-175mm/6-7" runners going straight up to the plenium under the bonnet .
Also lengths of after market manifolds would be good for comparison.

Why not use, ef/el BBM manifold instead, on long runners will acheive the same thing :0)

Im new to this injection stuff what is this ef/el BBM manifold .My problem is the way the the upper leans over to the side of the engine bay and the back of the manifold wont clear the factory tower brace in my Xm falcon without me cutting 50% of it out which im not prepared to do

Good reading Jason but im gonna have problems fitting it to my windsor
Im planning to open up the ports on the lower and fabricate the upper .
Thats why im needing info on runner length. Iwas thinking of something like in the attachments but taller with the throttle body mounted off the side.
This setup is for a twin turbo setup hence the short runners in the upper section.
any comment/tips appretiated.

And dont Think ive got as much to worry about with shorter runners as i first thought, using a box type manifold .

Yep thats a "box" top inlet.They usually have little trumpets inside.You could roll the top to make it oval to give you max bonnet clearance..Measure the one you took off ??

Looks like im getting my grubby hands on a cheap gt40 lower which will make it a hell of alot easier to fab some upper tubes rather than the eb port shapes not counting the extra flow potential.
Im planning on bring the tubes/trumpets up to about 40mm of the roof of the box. any one reckon this is to close and cause shrouding?
