hey guys, wondering about the snorkel air intakes..
i have a ef 4.0, and put a au xr8 snorkel on it (got the mods off fordmods.com)
however, i also have a eb v8, and was wondering what snorkel will fit on this?? anyone done it, or know ?

It doesnt just fit on, Theres a few ways to make it fit. You can cut the radiator cover or cut a bit of the pipe where it fits to the airbox. You have to drill a new hole as with the EF.

Try a ELGT intake snorkle on your EB 5.0

we put one on a mates car and fit ok with a minnor trim.

i fitted my AU XR8/TE50 intake today
cut about 3cm of the end of the pipe then its the correct lenth
heat it up where it fowles against the powersteering pulley and reshape it
make new hole (in the actual snorkel not the radiator - leaky) and mount to existing hole in rad shroud.

at worst it will sit slightly off where it should, this can be countered by modifying how the rubber mounts on the bonet

i will try my best to get a few pics tomorrow or through the week

el snorkel fits mine but i have the thermo`s sorry no help to you.

heres the differences stock eb -ef el xr or gt same thing bit i had to trim was where its bolts to the radiator ,cut or grind 1cm of an redrill to suit.

that snorkel looks as though it would fit fine with the clutch fan shroud.

ive just modified my AU XR8/TE50 intake snorkel to fit properly, i couldnt get it to sit right because of the power steer pulley.
i still had it fitted though, and i think it was letting me down a bit on performance.

really feels like theres more power (i guess thats due to it actually getting more air LOL)
and because it sits correct it even looks factory now
