I need some help so heres what im doing. Got a ed 5 sp 6 cylinder, and bought a ed 5L auto donor car, of which the engine is currently being rebuilt. I need to know what parts we will need to bolt the 5L on to the 5 sp. Obviously i need a new bell housing for the gearbox, what else that any one knows of? eg flywheel, pressure plate etc. If any one has done this conversion before any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The input shaft on your current T5 is too short. Other than buying another T5 from a V8, you can get the input shaft lengthened. Ask Dellows, they gave me the number of the company that do it. The flywheel is another, you will need one that fits inside the bellhousing that you get, as well as the right amount of teeth for your starter motor, as there are a couple of different sizes. Call Dellows or Mal Wood, they should let you know which one to get. The clutch and pressure plate are easy enough to find so those items shouldn't be a drama.

you will also need to change the eec to a v8 manual one, or alternitively use the auto eec with that motor and use a twEECer to adjust the parameters to say it is a manual.

If those 2 options arent viable then you can also do what I had to do to mine which is cheapo and works.

If you have any trouble finding a bellhousing and flywheel i have these and i dont need them
