electronic dizzy in carbied 302?

gday

i've currently got the stock points dizzy in my 302 and wanna ditch it and go electronic.
what would be the most cost efffective way of doing this??
is it much trouble putting in the latter model electronic dizzy say out of a eb v8 in?
and what is required in the way of modules?

note: i know nothing about dizzys

You can also get the pertronix electronic ignition for your dizzy. You just replace the points, condensor, etc with the pertronix stuff. Keep the same dizzy, cap, leads, no external module...

I can vouch for Pertronix ignition. Huge improvement to starting/drivability for a modest outlay. I have the IgnitorII, cost $200.

I'm using a ProComp billet HEI dissy approx $300 plus $295 for a PC6AL CDI unit with rev limiter. Had no problems with it. Heard the first of them weren't lubed that well inside but mine was fine.
