Well, I couldn't get the program to work that was sent to me, but I got Don from Don's Precision Heads in Virginia USA to punch in my new engine specs and see what to expect. His program gives a range of power, and with the small cam and 1.6:1 rockers I have specified my engine will have a REAL 405hp minimum (exactly 300kW) at 5500rpm and minimum peak of 405ft/lbs torque (550Nm). A bigger exhaust will increase this further.
With the bigger cam that was available the hp would go up to 430 or 320kW. But driveability issues scared me away from that one.

I wonder how many people actually have REAL power figures for their cars. My friend had a VX SS with many mods and was supposedly pumping out 200+kW at the back wheels. But my old full cast iron Windsor left it behind (when I had the big cam). Not much in it but noticeable all the same.
I have my doubts about the reality of some of the LS1 figures. Like I have seen a fully worked Windsor with deep breathing alloy heads, cam, all the bolt ons and a real strong feel to it get high 100s at RW. LS1 with an exhaust, chip and airfilter gets 200+? I don't get it. I really don't.
I don't have the program we used for this exercise, however I do have one on my home email address. I can't get it to work though.
Just as a matter of interest, got a hold of a place called MustangMagicInc in New York that ran a TrickFlow equipped 347 Mustang almost same engine spec as mine the other day. 415hp and 410ft/lbs. So close it ain't funny!

Something to remember in all of this power figure quoting is average power and torque. All these peak figures mean nothing in the end unless we know what the entire power/torque curve looks like.
For example my poor old 1966 XR with EFI 351W made "only" 210rwhp yet achieved a best of 12.79 @ 115mph.
My EFI 351C ute achieved an ignition problem limited 307rwhp @5200rpm initially but has since dropped to 253rwhp(due to a buggered valve train.....courtesy of a dodgy head shop).
The best Ive had out of the ute is a 13.6 @103mph(253hp form).
When we look back at the area under the curve of both dyno sheets we see that the windsor has "it" in terms of average power and torque.
Most of that can be attributed to the long runners of the Cobra intake and the Hydraulic roller cam in the windsor.
The cleveland intake is derived from a single plane with a fabricated plenum so, along with a flat tappet cam cannot produce the massive torque that the windsor did.
Yep it's the stuff alright!
My windsor made a peak of 453lb/ft at the wheels with a wide flat torque curve from 2000 to 4500 rpm. In the end I actually retarded the cam 10 degrees to get rid of some torque down low. That way I could get some consistency in my launches(I suppose I should have gone to slicks).
The cleveland hit 396lb/ft at the wheels.
Can you give the full run down on your engine specs? That way I can compare results with other simulation software.
I already have several engine combos actually tested and then simulated. Generally I find the results of Dyno 2000 to be conservative(which is good).
I also have a drag simulator which is very good. So if you give your entire vehicle specs(and I mean absolutely everything including frontal area..if you have it) we can see what that comes up with too.
How about if you give me all the criteria you need for the programme, I will look it all up and forward it on for you. I am guessing you need things like port flows, cam specs etc.

Bore, stroke,head cc,piston to deck clearance/cc, piston dish/dome, head gasket thickness/bore, cyl head flow in .200" steps @ 25" or 28" water, valve sizes, cam specs, t-body size, fuel type, header type, manifold type, expected compression ratio.
think that's most of it.
