Hey just wondering how i can identify a 351W, where do i find the codes on the block if there are any. I've been told the engine comes from an old cop car, i want to see if it's true or not. (it is in fact a 351W, i just want to know the stock specs and parts it has in it without taking it apart) Thanks!

The first thing you will notice is that the Engine is a lot wider due to the taller deck height of the 351 Block. If you see one next to a 302 you will spot it straight away.

oh yea, it's a 351, but my question is how can i find out if it was in fact an intercepter engine?

I have a book here that identifies the block letters if you can tell me the first letter on the block i can find out for you.

cool i could use the help, problem is im not sure where to find the code on the block. Also, the engine is in the car so am i going to be able to see it if i find it? Where should i look?
