Hi guys/gals I'm new to the v8 scene I have a 289 Windsor and want to know what the letters LB mean at the start of the engine number,any info would be great.
Some background info on the engine might help figure what it means. Do you know what type of vehicle the engine is from. Is the number a casting number made when the block was cast or a number hand stamped onto the block for id purposes.
Hi guys here are some other numbers (casting number) C6AE-6015-C.
from what I can workout its manufactured in 66 and came from a full size ford,which could be anything! And the crank has C3AE-N stamped on it.
