Engineering for v8 xf (and clevo vs windsor)

ive got the worse mistake that ford ever made, efi xf falcon, and what makes it worse is its on gas, im sick of the efi system, and i wanna v8, i cant sell it for a grand its got 12 months rego, its a ghia, and no one wants it.....

to engineer it, what is involved, what will i need to do to the car to get the cirtificate, and roughly how much will it cost, im in vic

second, ive got a fresh 302 windsor, and a fresh 302 clevo.. what should i pick? which will be easier, if i use the windsor will i need to change the heater box?

I'd use the windsor - it is lighter than the clevo, and would be a better power to weight proposition. Is the 302 windsor carby or efi?

Would you plan to keep the gas system?

carby... thats why i want the v8, coz its carby AND I HATE EFI CRAP! i dunno about gas, dads got a research system, but if i want to go petrol, means no twin exhaust.... damn....
probably keep gas for when i got no money

This doesnt really help you but where abouts in Vic do you live?
What condition is your your current engine and EFi gear in? In the next month or 2 my XF is coming off the road to be converted from carby to EFI with a wolf 3d engine management system. I might be interested in buying it off you for the right price?
I dont know how you couldnt sell your ghia for a grand? Ive been looking for one for parts for ages.

Thanks
Dan

Re: Engineering for v8 xf (and clevo vs windsor)

ppl want the car for nothin, one was complaining about speaker holes in the front doors, and he wanted me to supply speakers, fair enough, but i was runinng $270 pioneer ones in it, another was complaining about a rattle inside the car, but for a grand with 12 months rego, what do you expect.
i told a guy what i would get if i wreck it, 100 for the ghia dash, 400 for interior, 200 for the 3,23 lsd diff, 100 for the brand new clear indicators, and the list kept on going,
im in dandynong
