i am having trouble i am trying to get the steering box out of xy with a windsor in it , but i can clear the extractors , but cant get extractors out cause of steering box , what the fudge should i do , even thought of pullin the heads off and getting some work done to them and tidying up engine bay , is there a way to get box/extractors out

Perhaps you could unbolt the engine mounts and raise the engine/gearbox complete, and maybe drop the draglink and pitman/ider arms to get some extra room.

I've fitted a couple of different style of (genie) extractors to a ZA years ago withouth toooooo much hassle (similar engine/bay/steering box combo), i reckon that's how i got around that extremely snug fit.
