firing order

If I was to put a 351windsor cam into my 289/302 with adjusted firing order, timing etc would the performance be any different if I was to put in the same spec cam with 302 timing?

Re: firing order

Same.. No different...Except the difference in cam timing etc itself...

Re: firing order

Same. I think they only changed firing order to releive a bit of stress on one of the mains caps (#2 off memory). Whether it made any difference or not, who knows.

Re: firing order

more ex duration on 351 grind (not much diff), intake events are earlier (from memory) changed firing order from banging no1 cap to no5 with two consecutive pulses, makes car drive much the same, know guy w 289, 351w cam 2bbrl.

Re: firing order

I thought the performance difference was in the altered firing order of the 351 windsor , not the Factory grinds between the two...Am I wrong???? My brother had a 302 Windsor with a mild 351 Windsor Camshaft....combined with 4-Barrell Holley and Extractors on a basically stock Engine , It went well.
