I'm currently putting a 5.0 efi Windsor and AOD into my Capri which originally had a 289 Windsor and C4.

The engine and gearbox I bought came from and NF Fairlane. Total cost $5500. Including computers (gearbox and engine) and looms.

If you don't want the gearbox then the engines go for about $3700 (reconditioned) without a computer or loom.

No idea how much for a EEC-V.

Aftermarket looms are around $700.

Once I've got it all sorted I'll be writing a howto to put on my homepage.

Have Fun.

There is a complete engine, computer and trans for sale on ebay. Currently bidding is at $2225, but I would expect it to sell for around $3k. There are a couple of places down here in Adelaide that sell complete setups for around $3000-$3500 so shop around. Fitting it should be straight forward, just lots of work wiring etc. But it would be worth it.
