gaskets

Do later model 5.0liter's have the same timing case/water pump and sump gaskets as an early model 302?

No they have different timing and water pump gaskets.

if you buy a complete VRS kit from felpro, you get both versions. I soon discovered this the other day when assembling my motor!

There is also a crank case breather in the older style block/ case. The later model blocks didnt have it...so i had to block that off.

My dilema was using an old timing cover on a newer motor!
