i got a windsor in my xy and when she is hot it dont like to start , got a new battery in it , if i open throttle fully it will start but if i dont open it the crank it then open it no hope it just feels like its got no kick in it any ideas , i thought maybe starter is not liking the heat

sounds like a carby prob getting to much fuel so check choke operation. does it do it cold hot or when.

fully but its not cranking like its flooded its cranking like its labouring

Leaking needle and seat/s, heat soaked starter (especially clapper style), weak leads, combination of above etc

Check your ignition timming it could be to far advanaced. Good luck

i dont have a clapper but dont have earth strap on there so am going to get earth strap fitted its not that its cranking and wont start its labouring when i try to crank it

That'll be the starter heatsoaking. Having an earthstrap helps alot though.
Standard starter? or geared High-torque one?

just a standard one , its only just started doing it so i dont think its the earth strap will get one tho
