these seem to be a cheap head but i don't know of anybody using them

how cheap is cheap?for 800 beans i put gt 40p heads on my eb and coupled up to a good exhaust the difference is amazing.what kind of engine do you want.

i've got the roushe snr lites, 200cc intake runners, and not very impressed with them, best off getting the afr 185's, they cost a bit more but they are a lot better head, worth the extra $$$ in my opinion.

are $1600 plus $400 for stud mounted roller rockers
they are a cast iron head
are these heads better than gt40p's ??

I think that they are a copy of DART - but are a few years old.
A number of performance engine builders still use them including Mick Webb at SVO.
However they do not appear to flow very well and need port work which equates to extra $. Note that the complete heads that VPW sell only come with Manley valves etc. Most builders will buy the 180 or 200 bare, port them and use Ferraro valve components. The cost is about $2500.
AFR 165 comp or AFR 185 complete are about $3000. The 185 have a greater intake volume and hence you will loose bottom end torque. Same for Roush 200. These heads more suited for stroker kit.

I too am looking for heads - as I am going to leave at 5.0L am looking at AFR 165 comps or TFS TW.

I have the older version alloy windsor snr's.
Mine seem to work ok but I have not had a set of AFR'S or Pro toplines to compare with.
