Looks like i will get the Ys...and maybe get them ported aswell. If i could get together some more money would edelbrock heads and intake(both standard) be that much better than the Ys and GT-40 intake(both ported)?
Okay so its GT-40 intake(ported), GT-40Y heads(ported), 70mm T/B & MAF, 1.72 RR and std. cam.
These are the spring specs that will come from the head:
Single. 1.006 ID. 1.500 OD. Closed loads 110 lbs @ 1.820. Open loads 240 lbs @ 1.400.
Are they good enough or will i need new ones? I guess maybe not cause they are single but any ideas.
Another question will the 19lb injectors cope or will i need to upgrade to 24lb for certain?
Any opinions on the setup? Performance numbers? Improvements?
I can't see why this setup wouldn't make 170-200rwkw, which will be enough to beat your mates VS, and should beat the LS1 as well, and as an extra bonus, it will sound about a million times better than the LS1 as well.
I'm also fairly sure you will need new injectors, as I believe the 19lbs run out at about 220-230 fwkw.
How much are you paying for the GT-40 manifold, and is it the one with tubular runners?
