These 100% new distributors have extremely reliable components including a high-power 50,000 volt coil. This high-performance distributor produces a 50,000 volt spark through 7,500 RPM with true spark alignment for instantaneous response, a high performance curve, a premium cap with brass terminals, and a low-saturation ignition module. Both have die-cast aluminum housings, polished to a brilliant billet-look appearance. The base advance is 24 degrees. The vacuum is 12 degrees for a total of 36 degrees at 3500rpm's. The advance curve starts at 800 rpm.This is a NEW Ford 351 Windsor HEI Electronic distributor. These HEI Distributors are the perfect upgrade for non computer controlled engines.

That sounds like a pro-comp distributor. Stay as far away as possible from them. They have a terrible reputation. I had one of their HEI coil in cap distributors and it was the dodgiest thing ever, worst build quality ever, very cheaply made no doubt. Wasn't untill after i bought one that i heard about how bad they are.

[Hi,
whats actually wrong with the Pro Comp? Is it the two part shaft? Is there a diferance betweenthe Aust and USA versions?
I also have a Pro Comp and have yet to fit it. From what you are saying I should get rid of it fast.
What is a good alternative, with out spending a heap of money
