i have two motors and i dont know exactly what they are one has
D2AE-CA
and on a small plate screwed on next to that number it says
3E14


the other is
D2AE-L
and the small screwed on plate says
1815


i was wondering if anyone knew what they are from (year, car),and about how much they are worth the second is a complete motor
but the fist one is just the block and heads

There both 1972 part numbers.
The first one was cast on the 14 May 1973 the second one i cant work out as the casting date seems to be wrong
You cant tell what car these motors are from as the (AE) in D2AE is just says its a ford car engine part, ZE=mustang , These are casting numbers refering to when a part was cast not when it was used. no idea wot there worth tho

Definately 1972 cast engines.
Will find out the rest of the code for you next week and will post !!!
