HELP:: M 6250 F303 Cam for my 302w

Hey fellas,

Im building myself a healthy little 302w for my 65mustang. Looking around the 400hp mark so far NA, but i need a hand with the dial in specs of my cam.

Ford Motorsports SVO Hydraulic Roller Cam F303 with the following specs:

288/288, 226/226 @ .050", .512/.512 lift 109/119 lobes

Anyone have experience with this cam?

I need to know the dial in specs.

Thanks in advance.

Yep Lumpy as!!!
I'd consider the TFS ll cam...http://www.trickflow.com/product/prfeature_index.htm

Depending on rest of combo ???
Have you considered a custom cam from Ed Curtis ???

I have already bought this cam.

347, why you say not 400hp with this cam? Desktop Dyno shows almost this.

Re: HELP:: M 6250 F303 Cam for my 302w

109/119 lobes

You can set the cam up with the intake / exhaust centreline 109 being degrees at max lift intake. Take degree reading at 10thou before max lift & 10thou after . Halve the total amount of degrees & add to the lesser figure .
EG:99 @ 10thou before 119 @ 10thou after , difference 20 , add 10 to 99 =109

What are the rest of the specs on your motor?
Shane

PM me for your Pro-M prices

The 2 drag racers addages
1. If you are in control - you haven't got enough Horse Power...
2. If you throw it up in the air and it comes down - It's too heavy...

Squeezed is nice, stroked is good, blown is unbeliveable - but all 3 is heaven

Re: HELP:: M 6250 F303 Cam for my 302w

Small cubes need more cam to make 400hp.
Bigger cubes need less cam to make 400hp.

The ford muscle web site did an article on building a 400hp/302.
The cam they used (if my memory serves me right) was 238@ solid roller.
