Help modifying EL V8 - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

i have recently bought a standard el v8 auto sedan. so far it has a lukey exhaust and k&n filter. i am planning to turn it into a tough streeter and i need some advice about what parts to look at. for starters i am going to ditch the stock heads and manifold and get some trickflow items. what heads/manifold should i get based on the fact that the car is daily driven on the street and hardly raced? apart from the manifold and heads i am also going to fit a bigger cam, probably a crane 2030. will this cam be suited to my needs? will i need to upgrade anything else on the motor with these mods and how much power should i expect with this type of setup? please add any other comments that will help me out. thanks in advance guys :)

i also forgot to ask which size trickflow throttle body is required with the manifold?

read the other threads below plenty on this topic!
exhaust is best place to start!
Make sure your heads, manifold are matched to your cam rev range etc!

I have an EL2 XR8 running TFS heads,inlet and rckers with 65mm throttle body(stock), 55mm MAF(stock),19lb injectors(stock), stock headers with a cat back dual 2 1/4" exhaust and last dyno was 163.8rwkw.
I have recently swapped to 24lb injectors and a 73mm MAF and am yet to get it dynoed again.

Stock cam and auto.

Thats pretty sweet for the mods the thing must be so much better with the new injectors and maf. sweet keep us posted! Any dyno sheets?

Keep to TFS you can't go too far wrong. 2030 cam maybe beter than TFS l cam due to weight and diff ratio of Falcon [Compared to Mustangs ]& throttle body would be the last thing to change as maf,inlet & injectors are way behind.
