confused How to install AU TB on ED 5.0

Ok, I'm getting ready for installing all my new goodies on the beast, and so far I have been able to get most of the info off posts from !Gn|T|On & ELXR81...But I am still unsure what mods will needed to put the AU 65mm tb onto my ED 5.0, so if anyone has done this, could you please let me know what is required.
Thanks!

Re: How to install AU TB on ED 5.0

TB will bolt straight on, the only problem comes when you try to fit your TPS to it. From memory you need to file the bottom lip of the ED TPS so it will fit in, then you may need to elongate the mounting holes so you can get it to read the correct voltage. To test voltage prick a pin into the green and black wires and check voltage with the ignition on (engine not running). It should be around 0.95-0.98v, make sure it isn't over 1v.

Re: How to install AU TB on ED 5.0

We had to twist the TPS and twist the TPS blade to get mine below 1v. The TPS blade isnt exactly strong either so be careful if you do this.

TPS sensor and blade?? I have yet to take the throttle body off & look at the TPS gear in more detail. EDXR8, how does elongating the holes adjust the voltage level? Would there be any photos of both of these mods & which one works best.

Re: How to install AU TB on ED 5.0

The TPS sits on the throttle blade so as it rotates the resistance drops and more giving more voltage sot the EEC knows how much throttle you are applying. Elongating the holes lets you rotate the TPS which adjusts the resistance and voltage. I have heard that some need to bend the blade but that would depend on how much the TPS is out, elongating the holes can only really correct for around 0.5v, outside that you will probably need to bend the blade.

Re: How to install AU TB on ED 5.0

This tb sounds as if it is going to be the most fiddly bit to put on, hopefully I don't balls things up & wreck the AU tb!! Thanks for the info guys.
