How much should i be paying for a 2nd hand roller cam 302 windsor in running condition with all accesories. but without the EFI setup??

Also does anyone know how much custom headers would cost as i think there may be some clearance issues putting a 302 Windsor into an xF?

$1500 in good nick ??.. Use XW Windsor headers...????
Shouldn't have too many issues with clearances the Clevo went in XD/XE's no trouble..XF may need earlier X member ??

Okay well i went to just falcons today and i was quoted $1700 to have a complete windsor fitted including all parts.
Does that sound okay?

Im not sure if its a roller cam but im not too fussed at the moment. I want to drive my falcon again, Im sick off my loud, slow ass mini.

Is the falcon already set up for a V8 cause it sounds too cheap for a conversion from a I6 ,is there a warranty with the motor or is it a lucky dip motor out of a wreck

Nope its currently a 6.
The engine has a 3 month warranty. It all parts even the carby and different hydraulic clutch setup. Currently cable. It is also using my current gearbox.

Its a good starting point if its a good motor im sure you will find that out before 3 months are up just be careful with.......
The 4 speed and diff as there not the strongest of units and wont take that much punishment,but for just cruising will be O.K.
The radiator.... keep an eye on the temps. upgrade to a v8 one from XD
does the price include exhaust system

Yeah the radiator will be the first thing to change aferwards.
I need an LSD soon too so ill wait till i can afford one before i thrash the car.
I wouldnt mind a 5 speed either. But that will be last to get changed.
I think it just includes the exhaust manifolds using my exhaust.
Im not after huge power yet, I just want the sound to start with.
Any idea what one of these puts out power wise?

You need to know what year the motor is and does it still have the original carb manifold on it to take a guess at power output and thats all it will be with the I6 exhaust strangling it

Ill have to check that then.
What size exhaust would be good. The 6 had a 2.5inch with a straight through muffler.
