I need to know what exact year my E7TE ford block was built, and what are the casting differences between the 82-90 302 crank, compared to the 91 and up crank.

I want to use the 82-90 crank, in a E7TE block of unknown year, need to know compatibly.

The 90 block has 0C13 cast on it, the unknown block has 9L14 on it.
I know that :
0C13 = March 13, 1990 (1990 model year)

9L14 = November 14, 1989 (1990 model year)
from the #'s on the block, but when ordering the crank, they told me there was a difference in casting from the '82 to '90 crank, and the '91 and up crank.
Do you know what the difference would be? cause they were very specific that I got the crank to fit the '90.
You said there was no difference, but mad dog racing stated they were different castings.

OK So, I called mad dog racing and asked them, they replied that there was no issues with fitment in the different year blocks, the only difference was the size of the pilot hole for the tourque convertor in the back. One is deeper than the other.
So I can use the '90 crank with the 91 block because I have a 90AOD and tourque converter.
