Just looking around the net at all the different intake manifolds available for the Windsor and was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with non-standard stuff like the GT40 tubular, or Edelbrock Performer range..

Rob Herrod / SVO Motorsport - have you guys dyno tested various arrangements of manifolds? Does the GT40 tubular provide the claimed 25-30hp increase?

And how does the Explorer manifold flow compared to the GT40? I notice that the T-Series and current XR8 220 still both use it.. I think only the ELGT used the GT40 with a spacer didn't it??

I was thinking about the GT40 manifold, however Rob and Jeff from Herrods said the tubular type is worth small numbers over the Explorer type. The Explorer type is basically modelled on the GT40 anyhow. It's something like $900 for 5-10kW from memory.

The Cobra,GT40,Explorer, flow less on 4& 5 inlets. There are some better breathing inlets around now it's just getting them down under.Some aftermarket are cheaper be carefull though not to go over the top.. check out http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/f.../Explorer.html

Now all we need is a place in nsw that can [torque]/extrude hone inlets.
