mate, read thru the windsor section, there is heaps of info there regarding gt40 heads on early motors, many have done that conversion here, and have posted all the details.

GT40 heads were on the EBGT, GT40P heads were on the AU's.
The P heads had the different spark plug angle so your factory headders will not fit.
Good excuse to upgrade your factory headders with some decent extractors as the factory headders should be the first thing to go.
And yes do a search, as these forums have an extensive archive of information waiting to be tapped...
