I have not yet removed the crankshaft bolt (other thread), but based on the replies, I am sure to have the job done soon.

The other problem is the power steering pump.

It has a terrible leak. It has leaked for the past 5 years. Oil was cheaper than replacement. But now that I have the bracket out, I may as well replace it. The question is how. The manual does not address how to remove the unit from the bracket.

I will be off the the junkie to see if I can get a pump and bracket with the hoses today. Maybe tonight I will tackle the bolt.

you will need to get a puller on to the front pulley, then you will have pretty easy access to the bolts, becarefull as the bolts maybe seized into the pump, mine were, new pumps aren't cheap either, a lot of fun.

I did go to the junkie. Cost of used pump and bracket was $45. Wrong offset on the pump. So back I go for another used unit.

You say to remove the pully with a puller?

I do not see where to grab the pully. But, if I do find a used one, I might just pull the old one apart for practice.
