The cam sounds pretty small for a 347ci, I run a 221/225 duration .500"/510" lift cam in the 5L and its still pretty small IMO. I would be looking at cams like the Trickflow TFS-51402001 224/232 .542"/.563" or some of the comp cam grands along those lines.
Engine management, seeing you have an ED you may be able to run a Tweecer edit. Very easy to tune and good price for full tunability at around $900. Could also look at aftermarket units like EMS, Haltech, Wolf or Motec but obviously they cost more and often have less features then the stock EEC with a tweecer.
Re: looking at making 400hp out of a 347 stroker, any ideas?
where can i get a tweecer from mate? my car is an ED but all the 6cyl running gear was replaced with one from an EB xr8 i wrecked, so computer is EB, will this matter?
thanks for your post too mate - i wanna do this engine build up in one hit

No the car being an original I6 doesn't matter. Email Pete (pie@icenet.com.au) from PIE, he is the Australian distributor for Tweecer. You will need to know the catch code (the 4 diget code on the EEC like 1DEB, 2DDA etc or the EEC part number) to see if it is supported by Tweecer. Otherwise you can just buy a supported EEC from a wreckers and run that. I run the Tweecer on mine and I have found it excellent so far, fairly easy to tune, especially with a N/A engine and keeps all the advantages of the factory EEC like sequential injection, closed/open loop and MAF load sensing.

yes i looked into the other aftermarket ecus but found none supported sequential firing order, thats what turned me off them. does yours make 330kw? how is it on fuel? what tranny? and have you got any 1/4 mile figures? sorry for the 101 questions!
Re: looking at making 400hp out of a 347 stroker, any ideas?
My motor should be going in within the next week or so...
'93 Roller block
GT40 irons (standard Sprint) ported to 228cfm with Manley stainless valves, crane springs, crow collets /retainers
Bennet Racing hyd-roller cam custom grind .576" lift, Crane roller rockers
ARP studs, bolts etc.
Ported cobra intake, throttle body, MAF, 24lb injectors (Sprint stock gear)
Scat 4340 forged stroker crank, H-beam rods, Probe pistons
Hi-Energy sump, hi-volume oil pump, ARP pump drive etc. etc.
Going in my 94 ED XR8 Sprint with 5 speed, with minispooled 3.45s
Im not sure on HP just yet but a mid 350hp at the wheels would be nice with a good tune (The topend is what really holds this car back from making good power, but i dont want to hurt the block).
I wanted something i could drive to work, be able to take it back to original yet still give the LS1 boys a fright.
