Hey guys,

just wanting to know of anyone who can confirm the size of the MAF on a series 2 XR8.. The one on the car i just bought seems a little small, but i'm just wondering if anyone knows if they came out with 55mm ones of 70 mm ones..

Here's a picture of the engine bay of my new car, with the maf kinda visible.. Best shot i could get..

get an 70mm auII maf and swap the hotwire sensor over from the 55mm to the 70mm, easy sway only takes ~ 30-45mins to do and the a/f ratio is spot on

Were they really 70mm or 68mm inner diameter?

pretty sure they were 70mm, they flow heaps more than the poxy straw 55mm items, very cheap way to get more pwr, freinds of mine have an elII, they did the auII maf, 1.7 roller rockers and a 65mm tb, with those mods they where producing 219rwhp, not bad for minor bolt on mods, and the car had picked up hp & tq throughout the whole rev range and was alot more responsive

How much for the AUII XR8 MAF and where can you get it from?

and arnt they the same as the EB and EL GT Mafs.

No the G.T maf's if they are the same as U.S Cobra's ..They are calibrated to 19's and the Cobra type eec changes mixture settings...The Cobra's atleast have TwEECer & EEC tunner's that works on these eec's...E.L MAY be different as the 5 Ltr Mustang had eec lV only...The Explorer had eecV...From which the V8 was sourced from...

Check with your Ford dealer ?? In one case I know you could buy air box with maf cheaper than maf alone ???
