manifolds

You guys running modified 347's or highly modified 5litres' what upper and lower manifolds are you running,what size throttle bodies,what size injectors and what ecu are you using?


What ever I have will never be enough !

what heads and cam are you running?

std stroke, alloy heads, comp cam, tfs manifold, 75mm t/b, 70mm maf, 30lb inj, adj fuel press reg, twEECer

Ported alloy windsor snr's.....comp cams solid flat .560lift ,248@.050,110 lobes...why do you ask?

I'm building a 289 windsor to slot into my 88 XF ute, i was going to just run a twin gas research system but am now wondering if the 302 EFI lower manifold will fit as i'd prefer injection over gas any day? and a injected 289 with high compression and roller cam etc would rev hard and sound mean. any help would be great.

i would suggest a tfsr, victor 50, or the holley systemax, though with the holley you have to have the t/b on the drivers side as it isn't reversible( not that this would really affect you), the reason why i asked what cam and heads you had is because you have to try and match the manifold to suit them.

347 stroker, Trickflow track heat inlet manifold, 70mm (Tickford, AUIII) throttle body, 24lb injectors (with different regulator), factory EECV with UniChip. All works really well.

Heads are "cleaned up" Trickflow street heat twisted wedges, cam is Crane 2030, power is 247rwkw @ 5500RPM.

I = 216* @ 50th / .533" lift
E = 220* @ 50th / .544" lift

Despite the mean sounding idle, the car is actually quite tractable, has good manners in traffic and returns reasonable fuel economy (all things considered). I think it could make more power with a bigger cam (long term I might try a Comp XE282HR) but that would certainly take the car too far to be a daily driver IMHO.
