Thanks for the advice, it pays to ask those in the know. I guess I am seeking some seat of the pants gains, which I spose would equate to the 200kw reigon. This is a daily driven car so extractors, a high flow exhaust, intake etc would be my starting point.
Would I need to be changing heads, cam, adding RR's, bigger throttle body etc to gain around the 190-200kw or can this be achieved using OEM ELXR8 series 1 and 2 components????.
Cheers
What model car ???
Port heads esp exhaust, inlet "imo" aftermarket is better as they are designed after Gt40 type that was designed way back..Edelbrock or Trick Flow services have up graded there inlets,MAF & 24 Lp inj then 65 / 70mm throttle body 1:72 rockers after fitting good valve springs...

Its a EL series 1. What prices would I be paying for an aftermarket intake and t/b, what brand of rr's and who do you recomend for porting of heads?
Cheers
You would probably make it to around 190-200kw with just exhaust, extractors, air filter and snorkle and a set of roller rockers. The Yella Terra ST2027's are bolt on roller rockers with higher ratio giving you more lift.
If you want any more than 200kw, you will have to start doing heads, intake, throttle body, injectors, MAF etc. which all cost a fortune.
I plan to just get a stock upper and lower intake and mildly port them both and maybe a set of ST2027's as a package and leave it. I'm not expecting it to hit 200kw (although I'd like it) but in then end it depends on application.
Can anyone recommend me in other directions apart from MAF and injector change? (dont think it will warrant the power to cost ratio?
I was thinking of a tweecer or unichip setup to refine things a little.
I don't know whether there is such a thing as minimal mods anymore. But hey with the EB I'd go Unichip, this tweecer thing just seems a little untried at this stage, i can't get one due to me having EEC V, so my next thing is Unichip. (refer mods in sig.)
Cheers

If you are not prepared to change the whole inlet system esp maf, heads, inlet. Don't even think about it other than good exhaust / filter.. www.highperformanceworld.com.au for heads and inlet. They're in Parramatta..
TwEECer etc [as with any other ecu] is only good if you modify and need to change load setings etc Which means it should be done last, after mods..Until then the std eec does a good job..IMO with a 55mm maf is like breathing through a straw...
