What to do?...I'm finally getting around to rebuilding my 302 for my '96FB after 10 years on a stand. Now I have a couple of options. All of which I just want to spend enough money to get it back in the car and run. In-car mods and updates can wait. The 302 and C4 are the originals so, I'd like to keep the numbers matching. But, I can get a killer deal on a 351c with rebuilt heads. I also have a complete 351W and C6.
Regardless, it sounds like I want the 302 block installed. But I have to make it breathe better. I'd love to drop the 351C heads on but by checking other threads, it sounds like more money and effort than it's worth. The W heads will bolt right on, right?
So i guess I have 3 options....(1)short-block the 351c and mismatch the numbers, (2)rebuild the 302 and put either the original heads(ported and flowed) or (3)the W heads on. Any opinions or previous experience would be appreciated so I can figure out which headers to order.
