My xr8 got into the 13's (just) - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

today i took my car for a run at heathcote:
series 3 au xr8 5 speed manual
3 inch mandrel bent exhaust and pacemaker extractors
cold air intake
3.9 diff gears on street tyres, with all stereo (sub box and 2 amps) in and on mobil synergy 8000
and im pretty wrapped with the times we got today (done my a mate of mine)
we ended up with a best time of 13.9584 @ 98.51 mph
backed up by a 13.96 @ 98.71 mph
ill post up pics of my car and a timeslip once i find my cable to dl onto my computer im just wrapped to get into the 13's from an unopen old windsor

Well done that is a great time as i know Heathcote is pretty slippery on street tyres.Those times are quicker than the T3 strokers.

thanx mate i was happy seeing as though i was quicker than all the ba turbos that i saw i think the best was a typhoon with 14.35, and also quicker than all but 1 gen 3 there there were pulling from 14.8 to 14.4. there was a light blue ba gt that did an 11.57

Gives me some hope. I have the same mods execpt with computer mods + trans also.
In the autos the diff change sends the ecu's torque reduction strategies into hyper mode raping timing.

I ran at 97.17mph the other night and thought that should be around a 14.2 Your times just back that up for me. Acounting for the fact yours is a sedan and a manual.

Awesome stuff, now wack a cam into that beast

what time di u run with that mph?
isnt there a way around the computer in the autos yet?
yeh ill be going the storker route fairly soon with heads cam and aftermarket computer im just waiting on a price back and then ill find a way to find the funds.
i thought u put a cam in urs or r u still waiting to do it?

No way around the auto computers torque maps yet, but hopefully soon there will be. And no cam yet am waiting on the torque map issue to be sorted.

I ran a 14.896@94mph and a 14.901@97.17mph
