Hey again fellas

I was hoping to buy a Capri (1970 GT) but am not interested at all in the v6, I was hoping to get some info on how hard/easy a either 302W to put in, or should i go a later 5.0L out of an AU? What would the handling be like as ive never driven a Capri (except the new ones which are shit house) and what do you guys rekon the price would be invloved im only really looking for a cruising machine, and considering the weight of the older capris maybe 250-300 horsies will do me and the bitchument well.....

To buy one already fitted out with V8 etc you are looking at big bucks...$12/ $15 k easy....

Ive seen a really good one with a 302W (old school tho) for just over 11k.....isnt too bad.......im hopin to get one and put like a newer Injected 5.0L or like the bullet cars a Lexus Quad Cam 4.0L V8 where in Sydney could i get the ford motor (since i know where the Lexus one is) and how do these cars usually handle i.e. straight line and no turning or all rounda

Depends how you want them to handle as they have been well used in racing for years..They tend to oversteer on power but hey what do you expect..Oversteer only frightens passengers anyway...Unlike understeer, frightens driver! The one I had anything to do with had a nice watts link set up much like the Falcons...
Yep the tohc toyota is a good powerplant...

in south africa, the ford capri gt was sold with a factory fitted 302. it was badged as frd capri perana, so fitting a 302 in it is fairly straight forward.

i know they are, what's your point? i was just letting him know that ford released capris with a 302 from factory and that's it's a very straight forward swap.
