Hello all. As i'm new to the forums i'm sorry if this thread as been covered or appears wrong. I was just wondering if the new injected windsor. (el XR8) has the same block dimensions as an older style windsor. Was looking at getting a XR8 motor to put in a two door xp. Hope someone can help. CHEERS

I'm pretty sure they are much the same dimentionally, and should fit. There is a very nice 66 Mustang in QLD with an AU XR8 motor fitted and it looks like it should be there. They are very similar engine bays as the Mustang was based on the Falcon platform.

yep pretty much the same...am doing the same mod to my XL ute.
