new and old windsors

are parts off the old windsors interchangable with the new ones , like water pump etc any external bolt ons , and even main caps for crank etc , is there any difference

The blocks are bassically the same,though older blocks are heavier and stronger..Latter models [roller] have reverse rotation water pump due to sirpintine belt..The front timming cover varies but roller motor doesn't have access at front timing cover for fuel pump...But the whole assembly from either late model or early carb will fit on either block..Keep in mind the flat tappet- carb motor has external ballance of 28oz while latter models have 50oz external ballance..So fly/ ballancers wheels cannot be interchanged..

I think u can't use a roller cam in the old motor (302W) but u can use the flat tappet old cam in the new motor (5.0 Ltr). Everything else bout the same.
