New Rollmaster timing chain slapping - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

hey guys... and girls...

installed a new rollmaster timing chain for my 351W put everything back together and its making a slapping noise.... like if it was an old one that requires replacing... anyone have problems with these... when i put it in it seemed a little slack....

otherwise could it be something else, power steering pump.. alt.. ???

but definately sounds like the chain is loose...

Are you sure the tensioner is installed correctly ?
