pistonring question

jonbush Registered User Join Date: May 2003 Location: phoenix Az Posts: 9	pistonring question i have got a 64 falcon with a pretty nice 289 that i am rebuilding and i have a litte delima about some piston rings, first of all i have installed the oil ring and the two others that go on top and on bottom i have also installed the top compreeion ring but what i need to know is that there is a bevel on the second compression ring on part of the instructions says that the bevel faces up and another part says that it faces down they are federal mogul rings the top is the moly type ring and the oil ring is stainless steel so if any one could help that would be greatley appreciated
