Went to Munro Special vehicles and asked about some tuning work (until I can get to Herrods). They have a car there which many have seen pics of on here that supposedly has 304kW at the wheels. It doesn't have eight throttles or any of the good gear like that, and it's normally aspirated.

Do I smell.................. BS?

Maybe I should join the skeptics society? I reckon mine would be lucky to get 210 at the wheels, and it's no lady in the engine department if you get my drift.

It's not only the auto industry on this one. I am always coming up against overseas manufacturers claiming all sorts of BS in their brochures in regards to laser power and machinery speeds. Unfortunately there are always people out there ready to believe what they see in an add or brochure.

It would be interesting to see if these guys would be prepared to have the 304kW RW tested at another place ie Herrods just to keep the B--tards honest.

hmmmm 304kw at the rear???? what that at the engine??? What was minges (and remember his was blown)???? I think someones talking blowies!!!

Err, I would hardly put individual throttle bodies at the top of the performance mod list Aussie Pete. I reckon cylinder heads would be much more important.

Anyway do you know any details of the engine? I think that with enough rpms and/or enough cubes 304kw would be cake. Didn't an XW make like 500+ hp NA at Summernats this year?

the smell down wind is definitely off... 304 is aomewhere like 350-400 at the engine... NA is a big ask without specialised induction! not to mention a massive cam

The guy at Monro's, was at the Ford day at Peter Warrens last year, parked right next to nsw Tickford cars, and he most definitely was not gonna lift his bonnet!! 304rwkw?? Dont think so!! You would think he would want to show it off a bit if it was that good!!

I'd be interested to hear the specs of what it is we are talking about first. Sorry I haven't seen any pics(must have missed it).

Mind you it's very easy to achieve that power with a centrifugal blower.....maybe that's what the guy was hiding when he wouldn't open the bonnet?
