Ive been advised to run my XR's 289 on premium (when its not on lp gas), but i heard that some premiums are better than others for certain engines.

So which is better? I filled up with shell optimax tonight but i seem to remember someone telling me that mobil 8000 is better for carby engines...is this right?

You can't go past BP ultimate, octane rating of 98 while most of the premium stuff is about 95 -96.
This is the only fuel I run in my little Windsors.
