I have aquired a pair of e7 (or that's what I think they are called) XR8 heads (ED or EF, not sure). I'm planning on putting them on a 302 windsor out of an XY. I'm not chasing power, I just want to run a ulp friendly motor.

I have a couple of questions...

Can I use the standard exhaust manifolds? Or should I look for a set off an E series V8?

Do I need to use any specific parts for those heads, like pushrods, rocker gear, etc?

Will the standard rocker covers fit?

Any advice appreciated!

99% sure rocker covers will fit, should all bolt up, just keep an eye on pushrod length/ rockers (may need late model rockers)

I'd be interested to know how this turns out, as i was considering doing the same on my XT,

Thanks for that FAT69XT; The heads came with the stock rocker gear and push rods, so I'll give those a run...

I'm just not sure about the standard exhaust manifolds, or wether they are slightly different... As the car is my daily driver, I can't have it off the road too long, and mucking around with the exhaust may complicate things a little.

They all fit up..The earlier pushrods are reqired as the roller ones are shorter..Exhaust will fit....
