true, but almost any money you spend on cars doing them up is lost as far as getting it back is concerned. You gotta do it because you enjoy it.
After youve worked on your car day and night for two weeks / months / years (?), then you finally start it and head out the road, and every touch of the throttle sends windsor melodies rocketing thru the air - thats where you get your return!
If youre worried about value etc. then i would say dont buy anything right now...wait for barra, then the prices of the AU's etc. will drop dramatically.
If you want to do up a car - dont do it with the "how much will I get for it" attitude...
Do up a car with a "this will be fun when its finished" attitude.
If you are only interested in how much money you will have in the end - get the au and leave it stock.
There are a couple of people who give me a hard time for doing up my car. They tell me I am wasting my money, I will never get the money back. I dont care about that. My car is NOT an investment - its a hobby, something I enjoy doing, something to have a lot of fun in. I dont plan on selling my car.
