It shat itself last night after a few runs up to 5 grand. The rubber has totally split all the way around. Would it do damage to any part of the engine/ancillaries to slowly drive it around, say 10km in this condition? It only really makes a large noise when the engine is turned off.

Also, anyone know of places/suppliers in the bris area i could get a new/rebuilt one from? Cheers.

You can drive it, I would just keep the revs down. When I rebuilt my engien I got a powerbond balancer from www.vpw.com.au, the street balancer (PB-1084-ST) is $190 and the Street/Race one (PB-1084-SR, thats what I got) is only a bit more, but its not listed on their website so you might have to give them a call.

I noticed my balancer rubber hanging out, during some recent engine work.
The rubber was pulled out using just fingers and minimal force.
Glad it didn't let go during a flogging.
Auto Power Parts found a powerbond street balancer interstate for me, and I had it sent up to me, as I was in a hurry to get it.
You could also try Performance Wholesale, or just get VPW to send one.

I also had to get a new balancer, race version from Powerbond. Well worth it, but don't rev the car hard for now until you get a new one...
