small block valve covers

Not being a Ford guy, I would appreciate some advice. I just bought an F150, 5.0, Auto from a lien sale, cheap, and the only problem seems to be a pretty healthy valve cover leak. Do I really have to take part of the injection off to get to the passenger side? Seems a little excessive to me, but like I said, I am not a Ford guy, or I wasn't a Ford guy until now.
Any advice or short cuts from Ford wrenches would be greatly appreciated.

Re: small block valve covers

Corndog here again. The F150 in question is an '86. Thanks again.

Re: small block valve covers

you will need to take the upper plenum off to enable access to the r/h rocker cover
