confused Starter help.............??

I have a 1992 Ford Bronco w/ a 351. Friday starts up but I hear a small pop from the motor compartment on the pass. side. Little man in my head said "starter", but she's running so off to work I go. Get ready to leave work and "No Start". Got power but won't turn over. "Little man" says,"Told You". Pull starter and check,"BAD". Get new one and still no start. Ok, solenoid must be bad. Get new one, still nothing. Ok battery is 6 years old might as well change that. New battery and clean cables very well plus checked that juice is flowing through them = OK. STILL NOTHING!!!! If I touch the small stud on the solenoid to the battery stud, truck starts right up. Do you think the ignition switch is bad or is there something else i'm missing???????? Please help me!!

Re: Starter help.............??

first thing you need to do is check your fusable links on the starter solenoid
then on your "s" termanel on your solenoid the green with red tracer wire make sure that gets power when you crank the key
