Re: Street Terra Rockers

Im sure you can do better than that.
VPW list them as
ST-2046 Ford 302-5.0L V8, with non stud head, 1.6 ratio Easy Fit bolt-on $629.95
Im sure you can pick up roller rockers for less than that.
VPW sell the following
YT-ST2027 Ford EFI Windsor 5.0/5.8 V8, Mustang, F Series Truck 1.72:1 Ratio (Hyd.) $436.95
These are longer rockers which give the advantage of more valve lift, if that is what you would like.

Re: Street Terra Rockers

What is the difference between hyd and adj, and what suits the EFI Windsor?

Re: Street Terra Rockers

Hydraulic refer to the lifter type, as in hydraulid roller, and adjustable means the rockers can be adjusted to suit the required pre-load, this is not much of a concern as the hydraulic lifter does the adjustment already (to a degree).
I am using the YT 2027 myself with a stock cam, and fitted myself.
Some rockers have valve cover clearance issues too, but my YT2027 were OK.

Re: Street Terra Rockers

Great. Thanks Dodgie. The YT2027's go on the wish list then. Better check what is on the motor at the moment first though!

I cant seem to find the details from the link you have dodgie! Are you sure thats what you paid new for those to suit a very mild if not stock efi windsor in a eb?

I actually thought I wouldnt get away with anything less than $600 from vpw or anywhere for that matter!

Please explain a bit further.

Re: Street Terra Rockers

That price is right from VPW. I had trouble finding the part in their listing but they do have it... I called them the other week. You'll need to add GST and if need be postage ('bout $15).

I spent heaps of time comparing prices for the ST-2027 roller rockers and they are by far the cheapest in Oz.
