I was going to supercharge my engine with a Powerdyne 8psi CAPA kit but just wondering if a 347 Stroker pack might be a better option, both look to cost roughly the same. I think the supercharger will give more peak power, but the stroker may produce more down low. Any opinions?

Does the price of the blower include new engine internals so you can run huge boost to make good power?
If it dosent go the 347.

I have decent engine internals so strength should not be a problem, just would have to drop compression if I want to go above 10psi. Powerdyne can only go upto 8psi anyway.

My vote is for both.Stroked & blown.Thats what i would like to do to my car.331 with about 10 psi sounds good to me.

hehehe, that's what I will probably end up doing but for the moment it will be 1 or the other. Next stage will come in 1-2 years after I recover from the cost.

Besides it the blower can be taken off anytime...Relatively easy...

Stroking is obvioulsy cheaper than blowing, mind you mine has totalled nearly $15,000
My next adventure is a $18000 400ci torque monster.

if it was me i would go the stroker or a twin turbo deal, supercharges look great but very rearly do you see one go hard for any length of time

Supercharge it mate! BUT get the vortec so that when you rebuild it as a stroker you can up the boost. Buy a better (stronger) block and buid the new bootom slowly. The vortec can be removed and used on your next car as can the bigger injectors and so on. A blower on your car a 8 psi should see well over the 240-250rwkw mark. It'll last as long as the tune is good. The only reason not to blow it now is if your compression is up around 10:1 or higher. That twin turbo setup will cost similar dollars and you'll have full boost a low rpm too.
