sump gasket/mains

do you think it is possible to change sump gasket without lifting engine , its a windsor in an xy ..

In a 66 mustang you have to drop the cross member and drag link it is possible but I not sure if its any easier

gday,
i've changed the sump gasket on the same motor in an xw so i'd say it would be the same as the xy.
its a bit of a bitch but it can be done just getting the sump in an out is a pain in the arse.

yes it can all you have to do is undo the horizontal engine mount bolts and jack the engine up from the front and put the bolts back through the holes & lete the engine down on the bolts this gives you enought of a gap to get the sump out but you have to lower the sway bar to get it out. ( i have zc with 351w and did this last week end)
